Space is becoming an increasingly important resource for facing new scientific and technological challenges. The "Cosmology, Space Science & Space Technology" doctoral course aims to become part of an international framework in which it is necessary to develop scientific and technological skills. In this context, Cosmology can be understood as the unifying aspect of Space Science and Technology, in all their meanings, as the doctoral program proposes an effective cohesion action among the equally important areas of theoretical and applicative study. Indeed, this PhD aims to combine fundamental research, such as those in astrophysics and cosmology, with applicative researches that have the place of realization of the most current technologies in Space. To this end, the PhD aims to develop skills that involve multidisciplinary and complementary study paths in astronomy and astrophysics, fundamental physics and cosmology, aerospace and aerodynamic engineering, materials science for extraterrestrial environments, extraterrestrial telecommunications, applied mathematics for celestial mechanics and Earth monitoring. In line with these premises, the PhD course in "Cosmology, Space Science & Space Technology", in addition to offering a training path based on an interdisciplinary approach on space sciences and technologies, in their broadest sense, is also open to contributions of other disciplines such as, for example, Data Analysis, computational physics, software development and algorithms in the space field.
